Pirate’s
Cove Adventure Golf will host the 11th Annual “Putting for Progress”
fundraiser from Tuesday, August 6th through Monday, September 2nd.This national event will occur simultaneously
at 29 Pirate’s Cove and Pirate’s Island miniature golf courses throughout the
United States.
This
late summer event will culminate on Labor Day weekend and support three
charities that serve the education and needs of children in our local
communities and in underserved communities around the country, as well as
children with Autism.
The organizations
that will receive funding are: “DonorsChoose.org”, “Bellxcel” and the “Doug
Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.” Pirate’s Cove and Pirate’s Island will donate
a percentage of their total sales on Saturday, August 31st through
Monday, September 2nd.
In
addition, each golf course will accept donations from customers and business
partners from August 6th through September 2nd, which
will then be sent to the three charities.
“Putting
for Progress” is the second major fundraising event held by our miniature golf
courses, following in the footsteps of “Putting for Patriots,” a Memorial Day
event benefiting Veterans which is now in its 17th year. Pirate’s
Cove, and Pirate’s Island operate 29 miniature golf courses throughout the
United States.
