Happenings in March on I-Drive

March is here, and I-Drive has many different events that will make your month a memorable one. There are so many events going down on International Drive that we wanted to point out just a few that we know you won’t want to miss.

 

 

 

  

SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Festival first debuted last year and was such a hit that it has made a return this Spring! The festival runs through April 15th and features countless booths serving up delicious dishes that have been hand crafted using organic ingredients, cage-free eggs, regional produce, and sustainable seafood. As you're strolling through the park, you’ll be offered sample-sized dishes from around the world! We’re talking everything from a German inspired dish of Weiner Schnitzel Sliders, a Caribbean inspired dish that features Cinnamon Slow Roasted Pork Belly with Sweet Plantain Mash, a Polynesian Island dish of Pineapple Tofu poke Bowl, okay so you get the point. If all of this was not enough, we would be doing you a disservice not to mention that there is an entertainment piece to this festival that will surely make your entire experience an unforgettable one. Just some of the artists performing at the Bayside Stadium for this festival include Chris Young, Daughtry, and the Eli Young Band!

Street performers, colorful costumes, and oh so many beads! Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras runs through April 7th and allows all participants to experience an authentic New Orleans celebration, from the mouthwatering Cajun cuisine, all the way down to the authentic New Orleans bands! Also, on select nights some of the biggest names in pop, rock, country, and R&B will be performing at the Music Plaza Stage, so be sure to see if one of your favorite artists will be present before deciding on a day to join us for this fun filled festival.

Well, not literally of course; but for all you boat lovers, the Orlando Boat Show this March is said to be the best Orlando boat show ever and is Central Florida’s Premier Boat Show. At this show you will have the opportunity to network with 15 of Florida’s Best Boat Dealers, representing over 60 manufacturers! During your time at the show you will be able to enjoy over 60 great booth vendors that are sure to satisfy both your boating needs and desires. From Bowriders, Pontoon Boats, Ski Boats, and Cruisers, to Fishing Boats, Bass Boats, Deck Boats Marine Electronics, and a variety of accessories, any boat enthusiast will find exactly what they have been looking. This show will only be running from March 2nd to March 4th at the Orange County Convention Center, so be sure you mark your calendar.

Home improvement, we all love it; but, at times it can feel like a huge undertaking and can easily overwhelm those involved. Are you a homeowner looking to finally make those home improvements you have been thinking about for a while now? If your answer was yes, then the Orlando Home & Garden Show is where you need to be on March 10th and 11th. Come to the Orange County Convention Center on Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm, or Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm to finally make some head way on those projects you’ve been meaning to start… or finish. Some things to expect while you’re here are to meet contractors, landscapers and other builders face to face to discuss your plans. As well as get a ton of information and inspiration from vendors showcasing everything you can think up; windows, baths, kitchens, solar power, garden displays, outdoor furniture, closets, pools, spas, flooring carpeting, paving, decks, and even security systems. Your Saturday or Sunday spent at the show will prove to be very productive, and we wouldn’t want anyone facing a home improvement project to miss it!

 

 

 

 

Yes. It is March of 2018, and time is flying by! But, during March don’t forget to take a moment to relax and enjoy a good laugh. The Orlando Improv is always happening, so we had to include it when letting you in on March happenings on I-Drive. We know you have been working hard this year, so we are prescribing you good times and a show that will make you belly laugh. JB Smoove, Jim Breuer, Jay Mohr, and Michael Blackson are just a few original and talented performers who will be entertaining at the Orlando Improv Comedy Club and Dinner Theatre this month. Whatever your sense of humor is, we’re sure you will find exactly what you need to enjoy a good laugh, or a few.
