The most Spooktacular season of the year is upon us and
International Drive Orlando is embracing all things ghoulish, gruesome, and
grotesque. Whether you fancy a family-friendly outing, a scary good time, or
something a little different, there’s plenty to do to celebrate the start of
the holiday season. Here’s a few exciting experiences to check off your Orlando
bucket list this Halloween.
2017 marks the 27th season of Universal Orlando’s
Halloween Horror Nights where the streets of
Universal Studios come alive with hordes of horrifying mutants, monsters, and maniacs. Most
anticipated this year are the haunted houses that will surely terrify you to
the core.
The Shining
Explore the isolated Overlook Hotel in Colorado and become
terrorized by the hotel’s dark secrets and homicidal tendencies. Universal
calls this the most terrifying haunted experience imaginable – and we
absolutely agree! Will you make it through without losing your mind?
Saw: The Games of Jigsaw
The Jigsaw Killer has returned to torment even the sweetest
of us with his twisted take on poetic justice. Will you fall into his trap or
make it out alive?
American Horror Story: Volume 2
Three horrifying stories converge to create one disturbing
house. Meet a deranged cast of characters who not only seek to steal your life,
but your soul.
Horrors of Blumhouse
When three deranged filmmakers come together, they create a
story capable of haunting you to the core. Get a dose of Insidious, Sinister,
and The Purge in Horrors of Blumhouse.
Ash Vs. Evil Dead
Will you laugh until you cry or cry until you sinisterly
laugh? Ash vs. Evil Dead expertly blurs the line between horror and comedy. Take a
journey through this horrifically hilarious house… if you dare!
Dead Waters
Aquaphobes need not enter. Dead Waters will submerge you
into a pestilent swamp that oozes evil. Enter only if you feel you can escape.
The Fallen
Light meets dark in this eternal war and you’re caught in
the crossfire. Will you be saved?
Scarecrow: The Reaping
As if abandoned farms weren’t scary enough, this house will
bring your biggest fears to life! Be prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice as
you are reaped by the Scarecrow.
The Hive
The vampires are thirsty and you’re full of delicious blood.
Get through the house without awakening the bloodsuckers who have a savage,
bestial hunger that only you can satisfy.
Halloween Horror Nights runs from September 15 through
November 4, 2017.
Celebrate the underwater world with sea inspired
characters!
SeaWorld Orlando is counting down to a Spooktacular Halloween with help from their friends! Meet
whimsical characters inspired by the sea and experience an event full of
fanta-sea. The whole family will celebrate the season with a Halloween Dance
Party where children can dress in their Halloween costumes and take part in
fun-filled trick-or-treating in the park. As you dance, clouds of bubbles fill
the evening air. The party kicks off in front of the park every event night one
hour before park closing.
Get in line
to dance with Princess Penelope!
Don’t
forget to say hello to Elmo and pals, too! It turns out, The Count is feeling
lonely this Halloween, and it’s up to the loveable monsters from Sesame Street
to get him into the Halloween spirit. Batty bats and spooky skeletons join the
fun in a song-filled stage show that invites guests to dance, play and sing
along.
The whole
family will love meeting their favorite Sesame Street characters!
The daytime Halloween
fun takes place every Saturday and Sunday starting September 23 through October
29, 2017 and is included with park admission. Event hours are 11 a.m. to park
close.
Join us at
DRIP and experience a safe haven for vampires
equipped with a “Blood Bar”, vampire love stories, dancers performing in blood,
blood bag cocktails and an afterparty complete with a human sacrifice. This
party is certain to be one humans and vampires alike will be talking about for
centuries.
The blood bags are coming back in October!
Sink your teeth into this bloody experience every Friday and
Saturday between October 5 and 28, 2017.
Do the Time Warp with
Sleuths, as they put on their first ever Halloween Musical Murder Mystery. If you
re-watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show this time each year, you won’t want to
miss this rocking show hitting
International Drive, Orlando October 7, 14, 21, 28, and 31, 2017.
What will you cosplay as this time at Spooky
Empire?
The dark side of comic con is back once again to celebrate
the spookiest day of the year. Join us at
Hyatt Regency Orlando for
Spooky Empire between October 27 and 29, 2017.
