While you’re visiting
International Drive, you’re sure to get all kinds of pictures, from keepsakes
that you purchase at the various attractions that you visit and group shots
with your family and friends, to the various landmarks and other beautiful
Orlando sights you’ll see… but we can’t forget about the many selfies you’re
sure to take during your trip!
Next time you’re on
I-Drive, be sure you stop by these five I-Drive spots to snap an epic selfie!
1) The Wheel
We all know and love the
huge
Orlando Wheel that towers over I-Drive! Standing at 400 feet, this
giant can be seen from all across International Drive, and is a statement stop
in any trip to Orlando. However, after your relaxing 23 minute ride where you’ll
undoubtedly be snapping pics of popular attractions both on and beyond I-Drive,
and beautiful sights of the Orlando skyline, don’t forget to head to the yard
at ICON Park for a selfie in front of the giant itself!
2) WonderWorks Orlando
Another International
Drive icon is
WonderWorks. You may know this destination as the “upside-down
building” in the heart of I-Drive… and you’d be right! What was said to once be
a top-secret laboratory located in the Bermuda triangle; but, an experiment
gone awry lifted the laboratory and carried it to International Drive in
Orlando, Florida where it landed upside down! Luckily, all of the exhibits
remained intact and available for guests like you to come explore.
But, after delving into
this amusement park for the mind, with about 35,000 square feet of
“edu-tainment,” offering both education and entertainment in the over 100
hands-on exhibits that challenge the mind and spark imagination; don’t forget
to snap a selfie in front of the iconic attraction to share with friends and
family back home!
3) Madame Tussauds Orlando
Whether you want to meet with your favorite
celebrities from TV, movies and historical leaders, or music, sports, a-listers
and the Justice League,
Madame Tussauds will have you feeling the fame! Strike a pose with
Taylor Swift, swing punches with Ali, and save the world with The Flash,
Cyborg, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Aquaman, but whatever you do - take
a bunch of pictures so you can look back on these famous memories!
Plus, if you haven’t heard, PINK is now at
Madame Tussauds, and she can be found in The Wheelhouse Market at the entry of
Madame Tussauds… so if you were hoping to snap a selfie with the star, you can
snap selfies with her without having to enter the attraction.
4) A Trolley Stop… of your choosing of course!
If you haven’t ridden on
the
I-Ride Trolley, you’ve definitely seen these green trolleys tooting
around I-Drive! The I-Ride Trolley service is the area’s exclusive, convenient
transportation service. You can literally sit back, relax, and enjoy a charming
ride as you travel up and down the miles of fun that make up the International
Drive Resort Area.
With so many riders, and
so many exciting stops, a ride on the
I-Ride Trolley is an experience, and you’ll want to remember your time
aboard when you look back on your vacation. So, before you hop off running to
your next exciting I-Drive adventure, be sure to save the moment by snapping a
selfie at your favorite I-Ride Trolley stop, or maybe even on the I-Ride
Trolley as you sit with friends and family getting hyped for your next
destination!
5) World’s Largest McDonald's
So, if you haven’t
already been, let’s start by saying that this is not your average McDonald’s!
Situated on the corner of International Drive and Sand Lake Road, this
McDonald’s entertainment center stands 48 ft tall and its interior clocks in at
18,716 square ft! The play structure stands at 22 ft tall, along with a 2,000
sq ft. arcade, 30 ft Ronald, and so much more.
But, more importantly,
they don’t offer just the standard
McDonald’s Menu either. In addition to the standard menu, they also
offer a special, “Bistro Gourmet at McDonald’s menu” that has nearly 50 items
on it! Order up items ranging from breakfast favorites, pizza, pasta,
sandwiches and wraps, and a huge variety of delicious desserts, all offered
around the clock!.
Not everyone can say
that they’ve dined at, or even seen the
world’s largest McDonald’s
entertainment center, so during your visit be sure to snap a selfie!
There is so much to see
and do here on
International Drive, but as you’re enjoying the many exciting experiences
that await you, don’t forget to snap an epic selfie to look back on at these
five I-Drive selfie stops!
